He is spending the 30-day leave with his wife, his six-year-old daughter, Patricia, and his sister, Mrs. J. H. Miller. Seabee Gathright holds the Purple Heart and the Marine Air Group Presidential Unit Citation. He is shown standing against a wall, dressed in his military uniform.
