Description

Two of the 23 candidates who will compete for selection as queen of Grapevine, Texas', sixth annual Cantaloupe Festival. The contestants are, left to right, Charlene Pless and Maxine Starr. They are standing outside with their bodies facing right and their faces turned to the camera. Miss Pless is wearing a pinstripe blouse and a skirt. She has her hands on Miss Starr's waist. Miss Starr is wearing a blouse with lace detailing on the collar and an elastic band at the hem, a skirt, and a choker necklace. The contest will be held at Firemen's Park and newspaper reporters will be the judges.
