Four of the 23 candidates who will compete for selection as queen of Grapevine, Texas', sixth annual Cantaloupe Festival on June 28. The contestants are, left to right, Gladys M. Vaughan, Ola Mae Black, Charlotte Allison and Loveta Buckingham. They are standing outside. Miss Vaughan is wearing a dark colored dress with horizontal stripes made of a lace detail pattern. Miss Black is wearing a light colored floral print dress. Miss Allison is wearing a solid colored dress with thin, light pinstripes running vertically down the bodice and skirt and horizontally on the sleeves. She is wearing a watch on her left wrist. Miss Buckingham is wearing a floral print dress with a crochet collar and a wide belt at the waist. She is wearing a cuff bracelet on her left wrist.
