Description

J. M. McEachern is the owner of mineral-rich land near Lillian, Texas. Too valuable for grazing, Mr. McEachern leased the land to John Callahan, of San Antonio, Texas. Mr. Callahan will have the soil dug up and the shale, rich in minerals, used as fertilizer. Mr. McEachern is standing on a load of shale being dumped near the railroad tracks for shipment to San Antonio for processing. Five truckloads were shipped last week.
