Summer scenes. John Ward, 11, and his brother, Joe, 9, resting after mowing lawn during the summer heat. The two brothers are shown sitting at the base of a tree, enjoying the shade. John is resting his head on the handle of the lawn mower while Joe sits behind him. The two are wearing trousers and short-sleeve shirts. John is also barefoot and wearing a pair of eyeglasses. Behind them the other side of the street can be seen with two houses lining the road. John and Joe are the sons of Mr. and Mrs. F. E. Ward.
