Lieutenant (junior grade) Hastings Pannill, United States Navy Reserve (USNR), is visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Pannill. Pannill is a graduate of Paschal High School and the University of Texas Law School, and was an attorney for the Ohio Oil Company in Houston, Texas, when he enlisted. Lieutenant Pannill spent the past year on active service in the Pacific as gunnery officer on a cargo ship. He is standing against a bare wall, wearing his military uniform.
