Description
F. M. Conder, who began his railroad career with the Texas and Pacific Railway (T&P) as a messenger boy in the Fort Worth telegraph office on August 14, 1916, has assumed his new duties as assistant to vice president, with headquarters in Dallas. He is shown standing against a bare wall, facing front and smiling. He is wearing suit and tie. He was promoted several times. From 1917 to 1937 He served as timekeeper, head timekeeper, chief clerk to the superintendent, and train-master. In 1940 he became assistant superintendent at Fort Worth. He was named supervisor of wages in 1941. Conder's wife, is the former Miss Mary Burton of Fort Worth and their two children, Nancy Lee and Frank reside at 3817 Northwood Road, Dallas. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, August 7, 1945.
