T. E. Myers Junior, a machinist's mate third class on an Landing Ship, Dock (LSD5) is back on leave at his home after participating , in nine consecutive Pacific invasions. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. T. E. Myers. He is a veteran seaman. Mrs. Myers is standing next to the dining table meanwhile her son is sitting at the table. Mrs. Myers is serving some of her devil's food cake to her son. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, August 3, 1945.
