In this picture Mrs. William Hood Simpson, wife of Lieutenant General (Lt. Gen.) is greeted by family members. A brother, of Lieutenant General (Lt. Gen.) William Hood Simpson and members of his family were at the municipal airport to greet Mrs. Simpson, as she changed planes here en route from San Antonio to New York to meet the commanding general of the 9th Army. In the photo, left to right, are Mrs. John Muldrow, Mrs. John N. Simpson, Jimmy Simpson, Mrs. William Hood Simpson, John N. Simpson, the general's brother, and Mary Ann Simpson. Mr. and Mrs. John N. Simpson and their three children reside at 5533 Byers, Fort Worth, Texas. The two Mrs. Simpsons are shaking hands. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, June 23, 1945.
