Radio balloon weather forecasting began at Fort Worth's Municipal Airport when Dr. H. V. Hallady and wife (on the left), sent this helium-filled ball of synthetic rubber skyward. Halladay will head the new radio balloon program. The couple are shown holding the radio weather balloon. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram Morning Edition August 1, 1945
