Description
Weary from a trip from Camp Miles Standish, Boston, a 15-car trainload of returned combat soldiers spent a two-hour stopover in Fort Worth en route to Fort Sam Houston. They were from the battlefields of Europe, headed for furlough and redeployment. Left to right, First Sergeant Harry A. Noah, whose wife, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John R. Noah, live in Arlington and Private First Class Robert R. Pugh, whose wife and two daughters, met him at the station. Photograph shows the two soldiers posed next to each other in front of a train car. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram Morning Edition August 1, 1945
