Description

Master Sergeant John F. Harkrider Junior, overseas three years, was greeted by the largest family turnout when he stopped in Fort Worth aboard a troop train en route to Fort Sam Houston. They are, left to right, two aunts Miss Ruth Harkrider and Miss Beuna House; His mother Mrs. John F. Harkrider Senior; His fiancé Miss Maxine Seanders; His father J. F. Harkrider Senior and his grandmother Mrs. T. R. Harkrider, all of Fort Worth. They are standing in front of a railroad car while a couple of soldiers peer out of the car windows. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, July 31, 1945.
