    Description

Two brothers separated in the Army for more than two and a half years, met on accident recently at the Fort Worth Service Men's Center. Left to right, Sergeant Kale Knapp and Private First Class Leo Knapp. Private First Class Leo Knapp, of Camp Bowie, attempted to check out his wallet after spending the night at the Service Men's Center (SMC). The envelop with "Knapp" written on it, however, did not bear his serial number. He told Miss Jane Dominge, volunteer worker, that it might belong to his brother Sergeant Kale Knapp, who was stationed at Camp Wolters. Private Knapp rushed upstairs to the sleeping quarters, and there on one of the double decker beds of the center, was his brother. Both men are shown wearing their military uniforms. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram Evening Edition August 3, 1945.
