    Description

Sergeant James F. Hill has turned his mother's home into a near-museum with his collection of trinkets from the German Army. His mother, Mrs. M. O. Hill, is getting acquainted with swagger sticks, helmets, hats, arm bands and a camera that the German Army left in its wake. His most valuable possessions are his eight bronze battle stars and a unit citation, the Croix de Guerre. The citation was awarded to him while he was assigned to an anti-tank crew in the 3rd Division of the 7th Army. During his hitch, Hill accumulated 134 discharge points. Hill was formerly an employee of a local dairy company. He is shown standing against a closed door, wearing his military uniform.
