Description
Lieutenant Mel Randoll lost a set - his second in the tournament - but railed to defeat Clarence Dyer, of Convair, to enter the semifinals of the City Tennis Meet at Capps Park. Lieutenant Randoll, former Missouri high school star and later member of the Los Angeles Junior College team, will meet the winner of the Roger McKenzie-Frank Caldarola match in the semifinals. Randoll is shown standing on the tennis court, wearing a t-shirt and shorts.
