Description

A blaze, which started at 1:15 a.m. in the Robert Pearce Tire Company, razed all but two buildings in the 300 block of South Main Street. Mr and Mrs. Robert Pearce are surveying the damage which destroyed nearly 300 retreaded tires, as well as valuable recapping machinery. They are sitting outside on a bench, next to a sign that reads, "New Tires We Do Our Own Recapping Here." Mr. Pearce is wearing a long-sleeve shirt with the sleeves cuffed and trousers. Mrs. Pearce is wearing a dress and blazer. There are automobiles parked in the road behind them.
