Description

Two firefighters edge their way up the 85-foot aerial ladder during the height of the three-alarm, $50,000 fire in the 300 block of South Main Street. This piece of equipment permits a hose to be elevated to upper stories of burning buildings or to pour a stream of water into the center of a blaze such as the one shown here.
