Private First Class H. E. Leonhart Junior, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Leonhart Senior, shown with his wife and his son, James Harvey. Private Leonhart had not seen his 19-month-old son since October of 1944, when he went overseas. Mrs. Leonhart and the baby have been residing with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Moore. Mrs. Leonhart is wearing a dress and pearl necklace, and is carrying her son. Private Leonhart is wearing his military uniform.
