    Description

    First Lieutenant Robert D. Lipscomb, left, tells his older brother, Lieutenant Paul M. Lipscomb, about his experiences in earning the Air Medal while a B-17 pilot in the European Theater of Operations (ETO). Lieutenant Robert D. Lipscomb arrived home on leave in time to spend the last two days of Paul's leave with him. A P-51 pilot, Lieutenant Paul M. Lipscomb holds the Air Medal with two clusters, the Distinguished Flying Cross, the Distinguished Service Medal and the Purple Heart. Lieutenant Robert D. Lipscomb is holding his Air Medal. The brothers are both wearing military uniforms.
