    Description

Talk was mostly of Texas - which some of the group was visiting for the first time - as 12 representatives of war contract termination and surplus property disposal agencies at Washington were entertained by the Chamber of Commerce at a dinner in Fort Worth, Texas. Seated left to right are Homer Covey, president of the Chamber of Commerce; Rear Admiral H. L. Merring, assistant chief of industrial readjustment for the Office of Procurement and Material; Roger L. Putnam, deputy director of the Office of Contract Settlement; and Robert A. Hurley, a member of the Surplus Property Board. Admiral Merring is wearing his military uniform. The other men are wearing suits.
