    Description

    Three members of the 27th Battalion, Texas State Guard, were recently promoted. Lieutenant Alva L. Pugsley of Company C was promoted from first sergeant. He enlisted in October of 1942 and is the assistant sales manager of Universal Mills. He lives with his wife and three children, Peggye, Claudia and Alva Junior. He is shown standing against a wall, wearing his military uniform. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, July 8, 1945.
