Wounded but carries on. Lieutenant's gallantry in action earns Silver Star. Second Lieutenant Alson H. Douglas, husband of the former Florene Glaze, has been awarded the Silver Star Medal for gallantry in action. In addition to the Silver Star Medal, Lieutenant Douglas wears the Purple Heart, the Combat Infantryman's Badge, and European Middle East-African campaign ribbon with four battle stars. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Douglas, live in Baltimore, Maryland. Photograph of Lieutenant Douglas dressed in his military uniform.
