Shown is just a small portion of the crowd which thronged the playground section at Forest Park on the Fourth. The people in the left of the picture are watching one of the whirlgigs going 'round and 'round, with the people coming out here. To the right in the background is the merry-go-round, which did a thriving business all day. Hot dog and cold drink stands in this area did just as well. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, July 5, 1945.
