Technician Sergeant William E. Shields Junior is happy to be home again with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Shields, after 15 months as a German prisoner of war. All three of them are sitting together on the couch with Sergeant Shields in the middle. They are smiling widely. Behind them is a fireplace with a prominent mantle.
