Newman, and her handclasp confirmed that he was home after seven years in the Pacific, three years in a Japanese prison camp in Luzon, Philippines. Watching at the bedside of her son is Mrs. O. F. Newman. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, July 3, 1945.
