Two sailor children of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Roach, are home together on leave. The son, Carpenter's Mate Second Class Albert J. Roach, is back from 23 months in the Solomon Islands, and daughter, Dorothy R. Corbin, seaman first class, Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Service (WAVES), came down from the Naval Air Station, Norman, Oklahoma, to be the brother. They are shown sitting next to each other on the couch. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, July 4, 1945.
