    Description

Corporal George C. Harned, left, and Corporal William W. Green, whose Army lives ran parallel from the time of their induction, through combat service with the 36th Division in Europe to their return home on the same ship, get together in Fort Worth just after receiving their discharges on the same day. They are standing next to each other by a bare wall and Corporal Green has his arm on Corporal Harned's shoulder in a casual pose. They are smiling widely. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, July 3, 1945.
