Few Fort Worth families were reunited Thursday when two troop trains made an impromptu visit. Two fortunate people are pictured here. Shown here are Corporal (Corp.) Roy T. Able, dressed in uniform, and his mother, Mrs. W. L. Able. They are standing in the station, smiling and hugging each other. Mother and son chatted about home for only a few seconds before the journey was resumed. Background showing the train. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, June 29, 1945.
