Sergeant Charles D. Matthews holds his wife and mother, Mrs. Charles U. Matthews, for the first time in many months, for a family reunion at the train station. They are shown seated and happy to see each other. A troop train carrying overseas veterans enroute to Fort Sam Houston was passing through Fort Worth and his wife and mother hurry to the station in response to Matthews' telephone call. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, June 26, 1945.
