Description
A 30-year-old woman, identified through ration books as Mrs. Ethel May Eiland of Wilson, Connecticut, was hacked to death with a hatchet about 1 a. m. Saturday in her trailer at an E. Belknap tourist camp and William H. Hatch, 38, later was charged with murder in Justice Hurley's court in connection with the slaying. Mr. Hatch is pictured here. He is shown standing in a room, wearing trouser, full sleeved shirt, necktie and a hat. He killed the victim during a quarrel and went to Mrs. Charles C. Jones' residence and asked her to telephone for officers. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, June 23, 1945.
