Description
Lieutenant Joe D. Montgomery of Anchorage, Alaska, formerly of Floydada, Texas, has been discharged on the point system from the 490th Bombardment Group of the 8th Air Force after making 35 combat missions as co-pilot of a B-17. Montgomery has the Air Medal with five clusters. He is son of Mrs. W. M. Dorsey of Floydada. Montgomery is shown dressed in his military uniform. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram Morning Edition June 27, 1945.
