Mrs. William Hood Simpson and Charles P. Marriott are pictured here. Charles P. Marriott, cab starter at Municipal Airport, shook hands with Mrs. William H. Simpson, wife of the Texas lieutenant general who will be welcomed, while Mrs. Simpson waited here between planes. Marriott told Mrs. Simpson he served under her husband, as a bugler, with the Army on the Mexican border. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, June 23, 1945.
