Description
Mrs William Hood Simpson thumbed through a three-page letter written by the commanding general of the 9th Army in Germany. She received it just before she left San Antonio, as she waited here Friday night between planes. She's en route to New York to meet General Simpson and will return here with him for citywide celebration. She is shown standing outside and holding the letter. She is dressed in skirt suit and a hat. Background showing a building. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, June 23, 1945.
