Description
After 42 months of foreign service, Staff Sergeant Floyd Hale, returned from Luzon and is spending a 30-day furlough here with his sister, Mrs. C. C. Sanderson, his wife, and with his mother, Mrs. Myrtle Deister, both of Konawa, Oklahoma. Hale spent a year in Panama before going to the Southwest Pacific, where he has been fighting with the 6th Army in New Guinea, Netherlands East Indies, and the Philippines. He was inducted with the National Guard in 1940. He is shown dressed in his military uniform. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram Evening Edition June 26, 1945.
