Description
Display at Camp Wolters demonstrating the armed forces' efforts to collect waste paper and other salvage material. Sergeant Travis D. Glazier, of Wichita Falls, Texas, who is with the post conservation division, is shown depicting the proper method of handling old newspapers, tin cans, and glass. Sergeant Glazier is standing next to a sign that informs how much the camp has collected in the last year. The sign reads that in one year Camp Wolters salvaged 1,879,000 pounds of paper and 658,000 pounds of tin cans. Sergeant Glazier is wearing his military uniform and is holding a jar of glass pieces. There is a stack of newspapers and tin items next to him, at left.
