Description
Technical Sergeant Gerald F. Williams, former prisoner of war in Germany, is home in Fort Worth, Texas, for a 60-day furlough with his wife, Sybil. He was held prisoner for four months after his infantry unit was cut off by six Nazi tanks. Sergeant Williams received the Purple Heart for wounds received in September of 1944. He is shown standing against a blank wall, wearing his military uniform and smiling.
