R. George Hill, Mansfield, Mason, standing in a suit and eyeglasses. R. George Hill, Mansfield, will round out 20 years as secretary of Hemphill Heights Masonic Lodge June 24 and will retire as secretary emeritus. He was elected to the honorary post at a meeting Monday night. A Knight Templar and a 32nd degree Mason, Hill was a charter member when the lodge was founded Dec. 21, 1921. Prior to that time he had been a member of the Tarrant Lodge 942. He has been a Mason since 1913. Hill is a retired post office clerk and a veteran of World War I. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, June 7, 1945.
