Technical Sergeant John B. Huie, of the United States Army, is be awarded the Purple Heart for wounds he received in action in Germany. He was serving as an infantryman in the 102nd Division of the 9th Army. Sergeant Huie, native of Whitesboro, Texas, is the son of Mrs. Iva Huie. He is sown in his official military photograph, dressed in his uniform.
