Description

The "Red River Pilots" were in charge of the Higgins boats that made the 950-mile trip up the Red River to Denison, Texas to participate in the war bond selling program. Pictured left to right, are J. M. LeBlanc, Roy Baugher, J. F. Marshall, and R. A. McDerby. All four men, wearing captain's hats, are from New Orleans, Louisiana. Mr. LeBlanc is dressed in a collared shirt, leather jacket, and trousers. Mr. Baugher is wearing a button-up shirt with cuffed sleeves and trousers. Mr. Marshall is dressed in a button-up shirt tucked into trousers. Mr. McDerby is wearing a dress shirt, necktie, and trousers.
