Description
Buyers from 500 firms nationwide are in Fort Worth, Texas for the million-dollar synchronized spot sale of construction and farm equipment. Thousands of pieces of heavy machinery and parts are being released from military duty and returned to civilian use. Completing the event's first sale, left to right, are Martin Dowell Junior and W. G. Sterling. Mr. Dowell is the auctioneer. He is dressed in a double breasted striped suit. Mr. Sterling, of Madill, Oklahoma, bought $2,500,000 worth of construction and farm equipment. He is wearing a three-piece suit. The three-day sale is being held at Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum.
