Description

Buyers from 500 firms nationwide are in Fort Worth, Texas for the million-dollar synchronized spot sale of construction and farm equipment. Thousands of pieces of heavy machinery and parts are being released from military duty and returned to civilian use. Recording the announced bids for their permanent records, left to right, are J. E. Blessing and Charles C. Lowe. Their task is an important part of the split-second timing of the sales procedure. Both men are wearing dress shirts and neckties. The three-day sale is being held at Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum.
