Buyers from 500 firms nationwide are in Fort Worth, Texas for the million-dollar synchronized spot sale of construction and farm equipment. Thousands of pieces of heavy machinery and parts are being released from military duty and returned to civilian use. W. L. Googins (right) is handing an "in the aisle" bid to H. W. Saving. Mr. Saving is an appraiser with the Department of Commerce. He is wearing a dress shirt and trousers. Mr. Googins is a buyer from Austin, Texas. He is dressed in a striped shirt with cuffed sleeves, a necktie, and trousers. The three-day sale is being held at Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum.
