"(Staff Photo)" Published Star-Telegram Morn. May 28, 1945. Lieutenant Grimes Weldon Gatlin with his wife, Ava Rita, and daughter Gwyn. Lieutenant Gatlin is a Chaplain in the Navy. The family is sitting on the couch. Lieutenant Gatlin is wearing his dress white military uniform with a theater ribbon and star for battles, and has a metal bracelet on his right wrist. Gwyn is wearing a dress with a Peter Pan collar, a solid bodice with an inset piece that matches the striped skirt. Mrs. Gatlin is wearing a checkered dress with wide capped sleeves, a matching bow at the neckline, rings on her left hand and a cross necklace. There is a painting hanging crooked above the couch that has plaid antimacassars on the back and arms.
