Description
A giant freight van loaded with groceries crashed deep into the Draper Grocery when it failed to make a turn at Hemphill and Kellis. The back of the delivery truck at the front of the store. It crashed through a plate glass window and smashed the brick wall. A crowd of spectators are standing outside. Clipping: "BLUE POINT BLUESâ€â€A giant freight van, loaded with groceries, smashed deep into the Draper Grocery, 4351 Hemphill, late Thursday, amid a shower of plate glass fragments and canned goods. The driver of the truck, Richard Jimmie Daniel of Denton, and two youths working in the store, Bobbie Draper and La Moyne Ray, escaped injury. The truck failed to make a turn at Hemphill and Kellis.
