Description
Mary Alice Darrah is the eighteen-month old daughter of Major and Mrs. R. W. Darrah. Her father, an officer in the United States Army, sent her a real French doll for her half-birthday. The doll is more than fifty years old and was owned by the Linquat family. The family gave the doll to Major Darrah in gratitude. Mary Alice is shown holding the antique doll. The little girl is wearing a dress with ruffled sleeves and a heart-shaped necklace.
