Harold Buryd, commander of the Texas Wing of the CAP.For the past six months Captain Smith has served as group training and operations officer. He holds a private pilot's license, is an aircraft owner, and has flown many hours, including mock bombing missions performed by the CAP for infantry training at Camp Wolters in 1943.Captain Smith is one of the oldest members of the CAP in point of service, having enlisted immediately after the start of the war."
