Description
Copy of bust shot portrait of Captain (Capt.) Roger L. Kuykendall. He is dressed in uniform. He was the Flying Fortress pilot and group leader, who was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross (DFC) for his courage, coolness, tenacity of purpose and bringing his crews safely through two hazardous bomb runs over Germany last August 24 and December 19. Captain (Capt.) Kuykendall also holds the Air Medal and distinguished Unit Badge. He came home last month. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. G. P. Kuykendall and husband of the former Miss Jane Prickett of Lubbock. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, May 16, 1945.
