Description

Montie Simons, coxswain with the amphibious forces of the Navy, will report to Los Angeles for reassignment after visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. B. C. Simons and his sister Mrs. Mildred Webb. Simons , 19 has been in the Pacific for a year, where he was awarded battle stars for action on Saipan, Tinian, Leyte and Luzon. He has been in service 18 months. His brother, Sergeant Dude Simons, is in the European theater. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, May 14, 1945.
