Description
First Lieutenant Robert F. Tulis, Marine pilot, is a pilot on a torpedo bomber. He has participated in strikes again Japanese installations from Bougainville and Yap Island. The 24 year old pilot wears the Air Medal, awarded to him by Admiral Halsey, for 12 strikes against heavily fortified Rabaul and Bougainville areas in the face of intense enemy aircraft fire and sever fighter plane opposition. He is visiting his parents are Mr. and Mrs. Frank Tulis at 2614 Columbus Avenue in Fort Worth, Texas.First Lt. Tulis is wearing his military uniform.
