Portrait in uniform of First Lieutenant (Lt.) Charles F. Weaver, navigator on a Super Fortress of the Hell's Birds squadron, 20th Air Force, in India and China, who has chalked up more than 400 combat flying hours and holds the Distinguished Flying Cross (DFC) and the Air Medal with two clusters. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles M. Weaver. His wife, Mrs. Betty Weaver, lives with his parents. Lieutenant Weaver participated last June 6 in the first co-ordinated B-29 raid, as navigator in the lead plane. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, April 3, 1945.
